Greetings All!
I am so embarrassed! I have officially become a Horrible Hewlett!
I can't believe it has taken me this long to get back to you all!
I did finally get through a big stack of mail that had been
sitting around (some I'm afraid got misplaced at the office for a
few months?!) only to have my birthday come round once again, as
it seems to do about this time every year!
I have
been rather busy with the whole "leadership" thing, but I did want
to let you all know that I have received a huge (ridiculously
flattering) number of gifts and cards from fans around the world and I am so touched.
In fact, I found it difficult for a week or so to actually be mean
and snarkastic because of all the good vibes...I managed though
;-) An inflatable Dalek! (I've named him "Cat" as in cat) How
great is that!
I am so
thrilled that you lot not only took the time to send me the damn thing but that you came
up with the idea in the first place! What a great pressie! He sits
in my armchair, comes to interviews and visits on set...much to
the chagrin of the rest of the cast...who don't have inflatable
Daleks of their own...in fact have no idea what they are...why I'd
want one...or what
they're missing!
Thanks so much to you all for your time, your passion, your notes,
letters, generosity, postings, and inspiring chatter. I knew there
was
a reason why I was doing this and it's so fantastic to be able
to put names and faces to that reason.
